How to Find and Follow Your North Star

In this episode I talk about how to distance yourself from negative thoughts and how to develop a value based road map uniquely yours symbolizing your North Star.  I discuss how the influx of various thoughts throughout every day can derail us from doing our best, upset our moods and deceive us into holding beliefs that run contrary to our best interest.  I outline a strategy taken from the theoretical model ACT and discuss how you can create distance from those thoughts in order to better choose beliefs and actions in your best interest. Finally, I give steps to create your own "North Star" based on your particular values so you can choose wisely when facing negative thinking and tough feelings.
